Meet the Founder of Sistergirls4Life.com

Sharma Colley-Jackson is the founder of Sistergirls4Life.com. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she is the only child of a single-divorced mother, raised in Vancouver, BC before they moved to Toronto in 1975 to be closer to her mother’s extended family.

After graduating from Vaughan Road Collegiate Institute, Sharma went on to study at Humber College where she received an Executive Secretarial diploma. She further studied at Mothercraft College and graduated with a diploma in Early Childhood Education.

An innovative, successful entrepreneur, Sharma operated her own Childcare Provider business for over 25 years. Well-known by countless parents, families and former students throughout Mississauga, Brampton and beyond, Sharma has proven herself to be a committed and dedicated individual in the childcare industry and in the retail sector. For the past three years, she has maintained a home based business as an International Guest Host.

A strong believer in helping others and giving back, Sharma is an active worker and volunteer in her community. Currently, her efforts are concentrated on helping youths and young adults. Also, with her husband Charles, they co-host a local outreach program to provide food to the hungry in downtown Toronto. After a trip to Dominican Republic in 2010, this experience led Sharma and Charles to become involved with volunteering with international outreach organizations.

Sharma is recognized and appreciated by many former daycare children and parents as well by many of her former international students who continue to remain in touch and consider her and her family to be their Canadian family.
A mother to one son, wife to Charles (2006), and stepmother to four adult children Sharma, remain true to her roots and makes frequent trips to her hometown in Nova Scotia
